IATA Basic Dangerous Goods Regulations - Category 1 & 3

The IATA Basic Dangerous Goods Course is a 5-day intensive program for employees of freight forwarders, agents and airlines who wish to become qualified to sign the Shipper's Declaration for Dangerous Goods.

According to The Dangerous Goods (Consignment by Air) (Safety) Regulations Chapter 384 Subsidiary Legislation for information, consignors i.e. shippers and freight forwarders, must ensure all dangerous goods are properly classified, packed, marked, labeled and documented before they are offered for air transportation. Furthermore, under Dangerous Goods (Consignment by Air) (Safety) Regulations Chapter 384 Subsidiary Legislation, the documents required for offering dangerous goods for air carriage are Air Waybill and dangerous goods transport document i.e. Shipper's Declaration for Dangerous Goods.

Duration: 5 days, 9:00 - 17:00

Venue: Unit 1909, 19/F, Kowloon Plaza, 485 Castle Peak Road, Lai Chi Kok, Kowloon (Lai Chi Kok MTR Exit B1)

Medium of instruction: Cantonese supplemented with English terms

Reference book: IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations

Accreditation: The course is an IATA accredited course and approved by the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department

Requirements: Participants must be able to understand and write English

Assessment: there will be a three-hour DG exam at the end of the course, the exam consits of short questions and must be answered in English

 
Course contents-Basic DG Regulations

The Basic Dangerous Goods Regulations course can be conducted in your office. Our instructor will travel to your premises anywhere in Hong Kong, saving your staff travelling time and allowing your staff to receive training in the comfort of your own office.

Recuirements for conducting an inhouse course: meeting room with a table for each participant, plus a projector, white board and markers
